Mt Cheeseman

This fun clubbie is one of the closest to Christchurch. It’s uncrowded, sunny, and groomed, with challenging off-piste terrain and a family-friendly environment.

Just 90 minutes’ drive from Christchurch on State Highway 73, Mt Cheeseman offers ski and board instruction, full rental facilities, a licensed café and uncrowded, sunny, groomed terrain. For beginners and intermediates, there’s a great learners tow and a heap of blue and green runs off the main T-Bar. There’s also challenging off-piste action with spectacular views – and for the adventurous, the Ridge T-Bar gives access to the 1874m Mt Cockayne, and the superb terrain running down its flanks.
